Without giving precise details about which engines will be found under the hood of the new Golf, Volkswagen has confirmed the desire to equip it with a mild-hybrid system (MHEV) at 48 Volt characterized by a starter with Integrated belt-driven alternator and connected to a lithium battery dedicated to 48 volts.
