2020 Audi Q4 E-Tron | Audi will also use the modular electrical construction kit (MEB). The first model with VW technology becomes a compact SUV. As a concept car, it is in March 2019 in Geneva.
The model name surprised because the first MEB Audi will be an SUV in the style of the upcoming E-Tron Quattro and with similar roof shape. Say: Not as coupéhaft as other Q models with even numbers (Q8). The whole thing gets even more confusing when you know that the Q3 Coupé (coming in autumn), which has long been announced as Q4, will be called Q3 Sportback with a conventional drive.
2020 Audi Q4 E-Tron Specs – 204 Horsepower
The 2020 Audi Q4 E-Tron will be more like a Q3 with electric drive. The MEB technology allows quite clear conclusions about the key data: The modular battery allows capacities between 48 and 111 kWh hours, whereas the very large battery is unlikely to be used in the compact SUV.
Rather already the variant with the second engine on the front axle, which would then allow a good 300 hp and four-wheel drive. Presumably comes a production version of the Q4 E-Tron then with only one drive axle. That would mean: Here comes an Audi with rear engine and drive. Power levels below 170 hp are currently unknown by the MEB, but even in the compact car ID. Neo 204 hp to be offered – that would be synonymous for a Q4 E-Tron appropriate. This would fit a battery with no less than 60 kWh capacity, presumably, Audi will use the scalable battery to offer different battery sizes and ranges.
2020 Audi Q4 E-Tron Price Start from $51,232
The most exciting question is likely to be for a price. At Volkswagen, the ID.-models in the range of comparable diesel model cost. A Q3 with 184 diesel-PS currently costs around $45,540. With a small premium for the higher model number, you could imagine $51,232 as a starting price – after all, a Q8 is indeed more expensive than a Q7 and the turn is more expensive with comparable performance than the electric SUV E-Tron Quattro.
